Week One Chapter Chat

This week we had our first week of chapter chat. It was so fun! We are right now reading the book holes from Louis Sachar. These are some of the things I did well doing the tasks.

Power Station Hill

Today I went on a trip to the power station hill. Cosmin was are tour guide and he showed use how electricity worked, he also showed us the safety and needs of electricity. After he was done we where off to Power Station Hill. We had to walk 45 minutes to get there, when we got there we had to walk up a hill. The hill was very long and my legs started to hurt, but we made it.

 When we where up the hill Cosmin told us all about what he said when he first came, it made a lot more sense when he said it at the power station. After Cosmin was done talking we got to eat. When we where done eating people had to go in groups and see the back of the power station. When everybody was done looking at the back we had to go back to school.

Cosmin was a very good tour guide and I learned a lot about electricity. My favourite thing about Power Station Hill was when we where allowed to look at the back of the power station.

Persuasive Writing

Why You Need To Go To School
 You know that if you don’t go to school you most likely not be successful. People may say that that is not true but according to Michael Bernick he said “ Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world “. This is why everyone should go to school or be home-schooled.

 My first reason is that if you go to school you will find what you like, like your hobbies and your major. Ever since Kindergarten the teachers asked students what career they would like to be when they grow up. When they go to elementary and high school they begin to make that choice so they are ready for college.

 My Second reason is that when you go to school you don’t just learn grammar or maths you are stuck with people in your class, on the playground everywhere you have to socialise with people. If you don’t go to school you will not know how to socialise well.

 My last reason is that school has lots of activities like football, rugby, basketball, art and crafts, etc. You can try many talents and hobbies. These things can make you very happy and you can express yourself.

 My Conclusion is school is not just all boring. Try and sign up to an activity you would like to do, or socialise with people or even think about what you want to be when you grow up. This is why you should go to school because school is not just about learning.
